Ed Tripp

Private lessons are available with Head Pro, Ed Tripp, or Assistant Pro, Hannah Pass. It is the best way to get the individual attention that a player needs to take their game to the next level. Lesson time must be scheduled directly with the pro. Cancellations of scheduled lessons must be made at lease 24 hours in advance or payment is required.

Ed Tripp:
Private $70 per hour
Semi-private $85

All Westleigh Tennis programs are directed by Ed Tripp. Ed has a USPTA certification and a Bachelor"s degree from Ferris State University with a major in Professional Tennis Management. He competed on FSU"s nationally ranked tennis team as well as on the Junior Davis Cup team in Michigan. He is widely known in this area for his enthusiasm and the knowledge that he brings to the game of tennis.

In 2003, Ed Tripp was awarded the Mid-Atlantic Unsung Hero Award by USTA Magazine for his contributions to the game of tennis at the grass roots level. Ed has coached several players who have gone on to play for their high school and college tennis teams.

Hannah has been playing tennis since she was 3 years old. She played #1 Singles on her high school team for 4 years in a row and played #1 doubles in college her Freshman year before committing herself to academics.

Hannah Pass:
Private $62 per hour
Semi-private $77

After graduating from Pitzer college in 2000, she went to work under her father Bob Pass at 4 Star Tennis Academy in Merrifield ,VA, and at the Bullis School in Potomac, MD. Hannah has been teaching tennis with 4 Star for the past 10 years. Her duties have consisted of; coaching the Young Tournament Players group (MATA and nationally ranked juniors), coaching in the adult programs and directing all of the summer camps. Hannah also founded the 4 Star Tiny Tot's program and formed the the KEEN/Supernationals tennis program (www.keenusa.org).

Some of her students have gone on to become nationally ranked and in the top 5 of the Mid-Atlantic. Hannah has also coached The Bullis Girls Varsity Tennis team for the past 8 years and was proud to watch them tie for first place in 2009! Hannah has her Masters of Science with an emphasis in Herbal Medicine and Nutrition Counseling and is certified in CPR.
